The experience of learning by GCE A level students in England

Stuart Gardner
Introduction

This paper provides an analysis of the responses to a student questionnaire. Previous studies have looked at individual institutions, or groups of the same type of institution: this questionnaire was unique in that it asked the same questions of GCE A level students aged 16 and 17 who were attending school sixth forms, sixth form colleges and tertiary colleges.

The individual questions were drawn from a variety of previously administered and published questionnaires, but were primarily qualitative in nature, looking at "satisfaction" levels.
